What Is Qigong?

Qigong is a combination of two ideas:

The vital energy that flows through all things in the universe called "Qi" is combined with "Gong" which is the skill of working with, or cultivating, self-discipline and achievement.

Qigong is the ultimate form of personal cultivation. It is a serious practice that integrates the body, mind and spirit. And it requires a lifelong commitment to reach the highest levels of practice. Known as one of the most powerful ancient energy practices, Qigong interacts on an invisible level with the body’s meridian system. It directly impacts and informs the body’s Qi and stimulates your energy foundation to achieve maximum physical, mental and spiritual health.   

Medical Qigong therapy is one of the eldest therapeutic modalities of Chinese medicine. It is a comprehensive system of health care addressing the root cause of symptoms or disease, and treats the client as a whole.

There are thousands of different styles of Qigong. Hans-Thomas Is trained in Chan Si Gong, Ba Gua, Tian Gang, Wu Xing and other styles.
